I know, they're a pain in the ass. But they're a necessary evil to improving your authority and ranking on Google. When a marketer does an SEO audit (just a fancy way of saying they're going through your site and determining what you need to improve your ranking on search pages), one of the things we look at is what is called a Backlink. A backlink is a site or page that links back to your site. The more backlinks, the more authority you're building on Google. A blog is a way to achieve backlink authority, either through your own site or by building relationships with bloggers. A great way to start is by starting with your own site and to link back to pages on your website. For instance, this post discusses SEO and authority on Google. An easy way to backlink would be to tell you about the audits I offer as a digital marketer, specifically SEO audits (**shameless plug**).
A blog doesn't have to be long and winded. It can just be an extension of a post made on social media channels or quick thought. Just remember to use your keywords in the body of your blog and link to pages on your site.
